Betty Scarpino's wood sculpture combines fluid motion with intricate detail. What I make is a mirror of who I am, so when I speak for myself, the message rings true and sincere.”
This piece is committed to an exhibition at the Fuller Craft Museum from October 21, 2017 - March 11, 2018. The exhibition is titled Gender Bend: Women in Wood, Men at the Loom, a multi-media exhibition featuring male weavers alongside female wood turners – two populations that have been traditionally underrepresented in their fields.
