About The Work
I’ve traveled many miles of the American Southwest, visiting ancient Ancestral Puebloan sites. Somehow drawn to their long- silent kivas, (ceremonial chambers) I often imagine the sound of human voices, envision the dance, and sense the energy of those nameless makers of a thousand years ago, whose work inspires the vessels I make today. In the silence of these meditations, I’m usually joined by present- day inhabitants. Continuum of Life in the absence of human habitation.
